Countdown to Pentecost
2 Corinthians 1:20. For it is he who is the “Yes” to all of God’s promises. This is why, through
Jesus Christ, our “Amen” is said to the glory of God. Hallelujah!
Prayer Points for Shine at Pentecost 2025
Matthew 16:18. On this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.
Prayers for Pastors and Leaders
Isaiah 41 : 10. Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand. 11. Be sure that all who are enraged against you will be ashamed and disgraced; those who contend with you will become as nothing and will perish.
Psalm 91 : 11. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
Luke 18:27 The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
- Pray that every church leader, Pastor Minister in this nation be appointed by God to serve God and God alone.
- Pray for them to have a fire and vision for soul-winning in the Kingdom of God, bring clarity in difficult situations, and let them hear His voice daily as they walk close to you.
- Pray that distractions will not take them from their main purpose as they shepherd their sheep.
- Pray that they will stand firm against opposition and attacks of the enemy putting on the whole armour of God.
- Pray that they will not go weary in well-doing but in all things give thanks.
- Pray blessings over every minister, church leader, Pastor, Bishop and their families.
- Pray that the church ears will have wisdom, compassion, understanding and discernment.
- Pray that where there are ministers, leaders, in the churches of the United Kingdom that are not Men / Women of God, bring them to their knees in repentance so that they may commit the whole of their lives to God and have a personal relationship with God Almighty.
- Pray for Revival in the churches, let holiness and righteousness be the banner over every assembly of God.
- Pray that the Pastors, leaders, ministers of the gospel in the army of God in this nation will be stirred up and set ablaze and on fire for God.
Praying for the Church
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven. Psalm 63:1-3, 7-8 O God, you are my God, early and earnestly will I seek you: my soul thirsts for you, my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water; to see your power and your glory, so as I have seen you in the sanctuary.
2 Timothy 4:2. Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
- Pray for the government to call the nation to prayer and repentance
- Pray for the church to constantly call on Him for help, guidance and wisdom in everything they do, pleading for souls and for this nation. If God’s not in it, we don’t want it.
- Pray for the church to have that great longing for the presence of the Lord in their lives, in their worship, and In their homes.
- Pray for souls to have a longing to read God’s word and a hunger for God, that they will be dissatisfied until they completely surrender their lives to Him
- Pray for every christian to devote themselves to prayer and fasting, let them sit at the feet of Jesus and hear His voice with thankfulness and praise.
- Pray that your church will be bold and courageous, preaching the word of God without apology to this nation from every walks of life.
- Pray that there will be a raising up of evangelists, teachers, kingdom builders that will grow, harvest and feed God’s people for the glory of God.
- Pray for the equipping of the church for the work of the ministry, that God given strategies will be utilised to their full potential, so that nothing will be laid waste in the Kingdom of God.
- Pray for the release and deliverance of His people so that they may live a victorious glorious life.
2 Corinthians 3 : 18 And we all, with unveiled faces, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
- Pray for all God’s people to have a desire to be transformed into the image of Jesus, beholding the glory of the Lord.
- Pray for the release and deliverance of His people so that they may live a victorious glorious life.
- Pray for alignment into destinies and ministries, that all those who are called will know and answer to the calling of the Master.
John 4:23-24 New Living Translation (NLT). But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
- Pray that as revival breaks out in this land, that the worship of God’s people will be acceptable. May it be done with reverence and love for our Lord, so that others will yearn for what we have and come to the knowledge of Jesus, as they see us shining with His glory.
- Pray that every church will be filled with true worshippers who will worship the Father in Spirit and truth.
- Pray that the church will take their worship out into the streets and into community areas, so that the world will see God’s people worshipping, changing the atmosphere letting the people know that the church is alive and vibrant with the love of God.
Acts 1 : 12. Then they returned to Jerusalem…. , they went up to the upstairs room where they were staying, All these were continually devoting themselves with one mind to prayer, along with the women … .And suddenly a noise like a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 And tongues that looked like fire appeared to them, [s]distributing themselves, and a tongue [t]rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with different [u]tongues, as the Spirit was giving them the ability to speak out.
- Pray for the continued unification and joining together of the Church of Christ as one body, one church. .
- Pray for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit on God’s people with fresh anointing and across this nation, that the fire of God will come down and burn up all the dross in this land.
- Pray that the church is fully prepared for the great promised revival that has begun in this land.
- Pray for the Lord to show the church how and in what way that they need to be prepared for the Tsunami of souls coming into His Kingdom.
- Pray that the church will be fully equipped, empowered and ready to serve the new babies that come into the Kingdom as they meet the challenges and wonder of a new life in Christ.
Praying for the Workers and Evangelists
Isaiah 61: 1-2 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners, / to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of our God’s vengeance, to comfort all who mourn,
Joshua 1 : 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Matthew 9: 37-38 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few. 38. Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest.”
Luke 14:23. Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.
- Pray for guidance, boldness and strength to all those who are out on the streets during this pentecost time, sharing the good news of life eternal to the lost, lonely, hungry and in the depths of despair.
- Pray for the hearts of your people to be a people ready to serve in your kingdom, that no God given talent will go to waste, that every need in the ministry will be met by people who are willing to serve and devote their lives to the commission of the Kingdom.
- Pray that each one of God’s people will meet with their destiny and purpose for which He has formed them, that no talent will go unused or hidden from sight.
- Pray that the workers and evangelists will not give up even when it may be difficult and challenging at times. Pray for perseverance and God’s protection over every event over this pentecost time.
- Pray for strongholds and barriers to come down in every community, towns and cities.
- Pray for provision for the evangelists, workers and facilities.
- Pray for souls to be saved, for healing both physically, emotionally, psychologically and freedom from bondages, addictions and beliefs that have kept them bound for many years.
- Pray for provision for baptisms to take place and embracing of the new babies into churches with welcoming arms.
- Pray for God to give the evangelists and workers a burning zeal and desire for the salvation of souls for the Kingdom. Whether it be old or young, whether it be by prayer and supplication or by speaking directly to those that they meet.
- Pray for people to be reached in all types of communities whether it be small villages, local shops, homes, door to door contacts, prisons, rescue centres through divinely orchestrated strategies and appointments.
- Pray for wisdom, guidance and prompting of the Holy Spirit to seek out the harvest and ripened souls that are ready to receive the good news. That the evangelists and workers will seek out opportunities of open doors. Let their ears be open to the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 11:5. The blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.
Luke 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
- Pray for miraculous encounters, interventions and testimonies for the Glory of God.
- Pray for fresh anointing and empowerment before HIs people go out into the 4 corners of this nation, from the north to the south from the east to the west to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and His saving grace.
- Pray for a new vision and strategies for soul winning, a willingness to formulate new ideas, and new inspirational ways of reaching out to the people of this land for the Kingdom of God.
- Pray that every word spoken in every event over the pentecost season will be all given by the power of the Holy Spirit that He may be glorified. That the two-edged sword of the gospel will pierce through and convict people of their sin and unrighteousness for the winning of souls.
- Pray for the breath of God to breathe on each and every worker and evangelist as they go out to reach the lost and share the gospel of our Lord and Saviour.
Revival in the Land
Mark 13:11. But when then shall lead you and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak; neither need ye premeditate. But whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye; for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost
Zechariah 4 : 6 Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying, “This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ saith the Lord of hosts.
Isaiah 60:1-3 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn”.
- Pray that HIs Name will be exalted and lifted high across this land as events occur in many places during Pentecost.
- Pray that the fire of God would burn in the hearts of God’s people, and that the breath of God would blow over this land like never before.
- Pray that the Holy Spirit would draw people to the sound of the gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Pray that His glory will fall down over His people. That nations will come to the great light of the Glory of the Lord. That as His glory falls over this nation, that the darkness, sin and unrighteousness will disperse and all will know that this is god alone who could have worked such wonders.
- Pray that every Christian rises up and responds to the call of duty to serve in His Kingdom in whatever capacity is asked of him/her in whatever part they must play for the winning of souls.
- Pray for God given strategies and plans for the preaching of the gospel and the winning of souls as we reach out to the non believer and meet them at the point of their need.
- Pray that every prophecy will be fulfilled to Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Psalm 135: 15-18.15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by human hands. 16 They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see. 17. They have ears, but cannot hear, nor is there breath in their mouths. 18. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.
- Pray for every idol, every act of idolatry, whether that be monetary, buildings, statues or incense will be broken in Jesus Name. May this be a nation of one God, and one God alone.
- Pray that this land will be purged of sinful corruption, wickedness, and that righteousness and the fear of God will rule this land.
Advancing the Kingdom of God
1 Corinthians 2:9. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
1 Thessalonians 5:24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
Colossians 1 : 16-17. For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him. / He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
- Pray for open pathways and doors for each one of God’s people, whether old or young, whether great or small, to provide work for each one to serve in the Kingdom and for His glory.
- Pray that all God’s children will walk in alignment with God’s purposes and plan and that none will fall by the wayside.
- Pray that the children of God will know that all things come from him and the importance of giving back to him willingly for the expansion of the Kingdom of God with joy and gratitude.
- Pray for a miraculous flow of finances and gifts flowing into the Kingdom Ministry for the expansion of the work and for the winning of souls.
- Pray that the Lord will intervene in family lives with provisions, aid, support and practical help to disadvantaged families, single parents, broken homes as the church reaches out into the Kingdom and marches forward, claiming back lives from the edge of eternal destruction.
- Pray : Thank you Lord for all your provisions to us. Help us to use all that you provide for us, wisely and unselfishly. As you give to us, let us give back to you for the expansion of your kingdom with our skills, time and provision. As Jesus spoke to the wise man who used all that was given to him, help us to invest in your kingdom with our time, skills and finances, so that your name will be glorified throughout this nation.
Praying over Pentecost events
Matthew 18: 19-20 Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them”
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Lord you promised that your presence would go with us wherever we go, so we claim that promise over every event, place of prayer, outreach, coming together of your people that is taking place during Pentecost. Visit every event for you are an omnipresent awesome God, overshadow their coming in and their going out with your angels and protection from this day forth.
- We decree that the Kingdom of God is being restored and revived as His people have ears to hear and eyes to see, to play close attention to the word of God and seek His face
- We declare that the Spirit of God is being poured out over the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland and her land is becoming fruitful and fertile.
- We decree and declare boldness, strength and righteousness over our government. We declare that the Lord will raise up His people to speak boldly in government and truth will reign in this land. We declare God’s government, the true government is superseding all government authorities and His truth and will, will reign victoriously in this land.
- We declare a cleansing and unifying of the people of this land both in the church and in the community of the people of this land. As the scripture says that every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. This is not the portion of this nation in the name of Jesus. We declare that homes will be healed, that relationships will be healed, that families in this land will unite and stand strong united under the mighty hand of God.
- We decree and declare there will be an increase of miracles in the streets, in places of business and homes. The eyes of the blind will be opened, the ears of the deaf will be unstopped, the lame will run and leap, the mute will sing and the dead will rise. Streams of living water will burst in this land in the name of Jesus.
- We declare that God’s people are precious to the most high God. He calls you valiant, He calls you strong, He calls you steadfast and unstoppable. Hallelujah! His angels are watching and guarding over you, he is covering you under the shadow of the Almighty, no harm will come near nor by you says the Lord of Hosts.
- We decree His people will have greater discernment against the wiles of the enemy, being fully aware because of the Holy Spirit’s guidance. We decree and declare that the church of God is rising up in victory in this land. Our God is with us wherever we go. He is mighty in all HIs ways. He will save us and protect us from the wiles of the enemy . Hallelujah!
- We decree and declare that this is the year of the Lord to see promises of God and prophetic releases manifested bringing restoration and recovery for the Glory and Honour of our Lord.
- We Declare that no weapon formed against Great Britain and Ireland will prosper. That the fear of God will be established in our leaders and people. We declare that the United Kingdom is peaceful and calm.. We deploy the weapon of worship, thanksgiving and blessings over this nation . Every agent of destabilisation and wickedness is hereby annihilated. Every evil workings shall be consumed by their own devices and their resources dried up from this time forthwith. (Isaiah 59:19). We decree and declare that every destructive plan against the church is hereby annulled.
- We declare that God is doing a new thing and new beginnings for this nation and for His people. We declare and decree that this nation is being refreshed and restored. We declare that God is working HIs purpose out for this nation and HIs people. We declare that as your people humble themselves and pray, as is written in His word, God will heal this land, the nation.
- We decree that the citizens of this land shall live in safety, without being overshadowed by fear and dread. We say that this country shall once again be known as a God fearing nation. We declare and decree that this nation will be surrounded in peace and the Lord’s protection, that this nation will once more be a righteous nation as it turns its back on sin and iniquity. We say that foreign enemies, invaders, cartels, gangs, mobs shall not plunder our borders, cities/villages. We declare that riots, brawls, shootings, stabbings and awes protests will cease and no longer rob this nation of tranquility as hearts are turned to the Lord. May the hand of the Lord still the agenda of the violent and release a spirit of peace over this land.
- We declare that our nation will not be overcome by destruction but by the presence of the Holy Spirit pervading every part of our nation. Let it burn like fire and burn up every dross that has permeated our land. We declare that our land will not be overcome by the enemy, by destruction and infiltration but by righteousness, truth love and the knowledge of Christ Jesus. Amen.
Pray: For thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever, Amen.
