A CALL TO PRAYER - MIDDLE EAST

A STATEMENT BY NDOPW FOR THE WAR IN THE MIDDLE EAST

Beloved leaders, pastors, intercessors, families, and followers of Jesus Christ across every denomination, stream, and expression of the Church,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

We write to you in a solemn and urgent hour. The nations are shaking. Conflicts and tensions in the Middle East, involving multiple nations and global powers, have intensified instability, fear, and uncertainty. The ripple effects are being felt across the world. Yet Scripture assures us:

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)

In such times, the Church must not retreat into fear or division. We must rise in united, persistent, Spirit-led prayer. The altar of prayer must not grow cold. Therefore, the National Day of Prayer and Worship calls the Body of Christ in the United Kingdom, the United States, and the nations to deep, consistent, united intercession.

This is not a political call. It is a prophetic and pastoral call. Our allegiance is to Christ and His Kingdom.

“I exhort therefore, that… prayers… be made for all men; for kings and all who are in authority.” (1 Timothy 2:1–2)

We invite every church, house church, family, and believer to join in renewed commitment to prayer. We are not spectators of history; we are intercessors shaping spiritual atmospheres.

“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” (Isaiah 56:7)

Let us cry out for mercy, wisdom, restraint, and divine intervention. Let us pray for the preservation of life, the protection of the innocent, and the advancement of righteousness and peace.
